Friday Films

It doesn’t always happen, and it isn’t always a Friday, but I tend to aim for one film a week. Last year I watched over 100 films, largely down to a LoveFilm subscription. I don’t watch many TV shows, so my “passive consumption” time is predominantly made of films.

This year I’m trying to:

  • watch through my film collection
  • watch “outside the box” more by picking random things on iPlayer
  • watch new films. I have reduced my LoveFilm subscription so I’m still getting new films but don’t feel like I need to watch them instantly to get my money’s worth
  • attend more film events like the London Film Festival (loved it last year)
  • utilise my Friday evening, which is when I’m too tried from the week to really do anything and just want to chill

Here is a list of the films so far. Quite a random mix of things, I’m sure you’ll agree!

  1. The Duchess
  2. Enchanted
  3. 28 Days Later (so much love for this film!)
  4. 28 Weeks Later
  5. Toy Story
  6. Intermission
  7. Frankenstein
  8. Dracula
  9. Alice in Wonderland
  10. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (my favourite film of all time)
  11. The Edge of Love
  12. Titanic
  13. Trance
  14. Peter Pan
  15. Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (please don’t judge me too harshly, this was one of the “pick something random on iPlayer” ones!)
  16. Notting Hill
  17. Frankenweenie
  18. Beauty & the Beast
  19. Tangled
  20. Bring it On (you can judge me for this)
  21. Requiem for a Dream
