People have been asking me if it’s hard to find food when out and about. The answer is always “it depends”. I spend a lot of time in London, Brighton and Bristol and they all have vegan and vegetarian places galore. You’d be surprised though at how many places will have something you can eat though. Las Iguanas even has a separate menu of veggies!
Here are a couple of the more special places I’ve eaten recently…
La Suite West (London)
Complete vegan afternoon tea. A birthday treat from a friend. Sandwiches were good, tea was delicious, cakes were interesting (especially the carrot cake), but the champion of this was the scones, coconut cream and jam. Overall a fabulous experience, would be even better with more attention from the staff.
Terre à Terre (Brighton)
Every now and then I’ll run into someone else who has eaten here and a long conversation usually ensues about how it is the best food on Earth. And this isn’t just veggies saying this, it’s omnis too. I recommend the buns with tofu (not pictured as we usually stuff them in our faces too fast).
I love the staff in here—so friendly. Have been a few times now, the first time another customer asked me what my food was as it smelt so good. Tasty, filling and gorgeous desserts.
