It’s (almost) halfway through the year and I’ve given my goals a little revamp. There are some things I am happy with and some things I want to start again.
For the uninitiated, I was calling my 4 week themed chunks… chunks. Now I am calling them chapters! I realised yesterday that I never reviewed Chapter 2 (exercise), and Chapter 3 (work) has just ended! To backtrack if you missed out, an explanation of my year goals and Chapter 1 (Food).

I’m having a week of extreme doing. When I say extreme doing, I don’t mean working myself into the ground. Rather, creating a silence so I can hear myself think again.
Most habits are about reaching an end goal. For a lot of goals, that ending doesn’t really exist. We like to be ever growing, so once we reach a goal more often than not we move the goalposts. If we don’t, then we fall back into old habits and undo all our good work.
Here is a bunch of stuff I did, thought, said and looked at in 2013. I like writing these things down and having a little look back. I hope you all had a brilliant 2013, and all the best for 2014.
It doesn’t always happen, and it isn’t always a Friday, but I tend to aim for one film a week. Last year I watched over 100 films, largely down to a LoveFilm subscription. I don’t watch many TV shows, so my “passive consumption” time is predominantly made of films.
