Another day, another run. More scrambled eggs. Another blissful hour of reading and writing (a soon to be published post about luck and my kitchen tap).
Another day, another attempt at a run. Most of my big plans are in the next two weeks rather than this one which is nice in some ways. It gives me chance to get used to the new routine and rest a little bit.
Today was my first official “no job” day. I said goodbye to 3wise on Friday and then had a fairly normal weekend. Saturday in Brighton with my best friend. Sunday on the sofa, watching Friends and having some mental downtime by playing the Sims.
David Bowie is so many things. I have loved his music for years, and had some vague understanding of his importance to culture and the world. But I never fully took that on board.
Art, design & music. Major themes here! Oh and music is like being hugged by a painting.
It doesn’t always happen, and it isn’t always a Friday, but I tend to aim for one film a week. Last year I watched over 100 films, largely down to a LoveFilm subscription. I don’t watch many TV shows, so my “passive consumption” time is predominantly made of films.

Butterflies and Hurricanes by Muse Muse aren’t my number 1 band, not quite anyway, but they do win the title of my most favourite song since I first heard it 7ish years ago.
I’ve had a very musical week. An amazing week.
The other half is an excellent cook. He received Delia’s Complete How to Cook for his birthday and since then he’s made one meal and one desert almost every weekend. I’m going to share some pictures of the delicious things he’s made, and as for the book, I’d recommend it to anyone! The resulting food […]
I have to say, there’s nothing I love more on a Sunday than a big mug of tea and PostSecret. Yes it’s been around a while, I’m late to the party. I love art, and I love psychology. PostSecret is these combined, we say art is an expression of a feeling or emotion, these postcards […]
Everyone told me it would happen, and it did (as evidenced on the reviews page – most of those are after I finished all my work, or as I was finishing). I’ve been stuck on fiction for months, mostly the Kathy Reichs series. I’m now up to the latest book and awaiting a copy at […]
