Written on Sunday as a follow up to this post. I have absolutely loved this week. I can’t remember the last time I felt this productive, or this excited.
One of the first things I do in the morning is go to the kitchen and get a glass of water.
Still loving being cut off this week. I’m missing music like crazy and am dying to go back to reading my book, but am amazed at just how much I am getting done. I’m quite tired at the end of the day, but it’s a nice kind of tired. I don’t miss social media and […]
I’m having a week of extreme doing. When I say extreme doing, I don’t mean working myself into the ground. Rather, creating a silence so I can hear myself think again.
I spent the end of December thinking about what I would like to achieve in 2014. For the fourth year, I’m using a system that works really well for me. I split the year into 13 4 week chunks (I have a thing about starting on a Monday) and give each chunk a theme. At […]
Most habits are about reaching an end goal. For a lot of goals, that ending doesn’t really exist. We like to be ever growing, so once we reach a goal more often than not we move the goalposts. If we don’t, then we fall back into old habits and undo all our good work.
Here is a bunch of stuff I did, thought, said and looked at in 2013. I like writing these things down and having a little look back. I hope you all had a brilliant 2013, and all the best for 2014.
This is what I hear every time I sit down to write. This is a brain dump of something that happened to me when I was 11 years old, and an exploration of the consequences. It centres around one teacher’s opinion and their refusal to help—something that to this day I do not understand.
Technically the “last day” of the creative reset, but also the day I realised I’d made enough money to keep it going for a while, so that’s what I am going to do. Possibly until January. Taking time out in Cornwall made me realise I was feeling pretty burnt out from it all and that […]
Today I finally finished sorting out my art supplies, went for lunch with a friend and stopped off to give blood.
Saturday has been half chores, half fun things. I got the chores done early on, in between reading chapters of It. I did some more drawing and watched The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. Read on to see how that went down.
It’s the end of my first “working week” and I’m almost as tired as I was from being at work. As mentioned on day 1, I didn’t want to just sit on my arse, so I’ve kept myself pretty busy. I’m realising why half this stuff doesn’t usually get done.
