RIP Basil

June 30, 2015

My heart has joined the Thousand, for my friend stopped running today. This is one of my favourite pictures that I have ever taken. My sister had Basil for 5 years, and did some truly incredible work with him. I really enjoyed going to watch them ride, and he’s leaving a big, horse-shaped hole in […]

Porridge

June 28, 2015

I have this for breakfast most days. Sometimes I do overnight oats instead, and if I’m in a rush I’ll have a nut butter on wholemeal toast. I make the porridge with water or soya milk, and vary the toppings. I usually use a lot of nuts, seeds and a bit of dried fruit.

Dream Bars

June 27, 2015

From Vegetarian Nosh 4 Students – Dream Bars. Substitution: Pure Soya for butter, cornflakes for rice crispies*. I didn’t heat the sugar for long enough and these ended up as (delicious) frosted cornflakes. * A lot of cereal isn’t vegan because of what they use to add the vitamins (often lanolin from sheep’s wool). I couldn’t find any […]

100 Day Project

April 6, 2015

#100DaysofFarthingWood I’ve been really out of touch with drawing. To get back into it I’m going to do the “how to draw _____” in each Farthing Wood Friends magazine. This was what got me into drawing when I was a kid and fuelled a desire to invent characters when I was older. Watch this space

Big Gig Week

March 29, 2015

2014 was particularly empty gig-wise. For someone who usually goes to 10+ gigs a year, it was a sad time! I love live music, each experience is beyond worth it! This was Big Gig Week as I had four booked – Muse were a late, wonderfully unexpected addition to three Placebo gigs. My two favourite […]

Nails: Noel Fielding Exhibition

March 22, 2015

We went to the wonderfully weird Noel Fielding exhibition at the Royal Albert Hall for Mother’s Day. I loved the colours of this painting and decided to do a rough version on my nails. It reminded me of the Groke from the Moomins… The exhibit was really good, definitely a couple of pieces there I […]

My fun new years resolution was delayed this year, but I am very happy I can finally start sharing it with you. In the run up to Christmas I got my hands on a Wreck This Journal. These books are very popular on the internet at the moment, and serve as an invitation for you […]
