The South of France
My seventh visit to the sunny south of France. Mostly for being lazy, reading and swimming in the sea. I hardly took any photographs as a result. I still haven’t gone through all the ones from the other six visits! 🙂

I have a bit of a doll collection going on, and am particularly fond of the quirky, gothic Monster High dolls. I picked up Rochelle Goyle in New York and knew she had to go to Paris. She’s a gargoyle with the Eiffel Tower on her dress! We did a silly photo project that elicited […]
Fellow Jazhans conspirator Hannah and I booked a long weekend in Paris. The goal was to explore as much art as possible, whilst making the most of French cuisine and going up tall buildings. In those things we were successful, with some thoughts for a second trip in the future.
New York is a vibrant city, full of culture, stunning architecture and interesting people. I’ve been asked why I was going back for a third time, and I suppose the answer is that there is so much to do! We flew out on the Thursday morning, stayed for Easter and flew back Tuesday night. Here’s […]
The drive home was long, and it did rain that day. We stopped in Teignmouth because I’d been there before (for Muse) and knew where there was some good food to be had. We popped in another book shop that had an incredibly old copy of Winnie the Pooh, which I didn’t buy for monetary […]
Tintagel. Satnav decided to take us single track roads all the way. We had to stop to let some baby cows past, there was grass growing down the middle of the road. I drove in constant fear of meeting an oncoming vehicle. I ignored the satnav on the way back and aimed for A roads.
I wanted to do our furthest drive on this day to try and keep the week balanced, so it was off to Porthleven. I went there when I was 6 and this ice cream place that was there then was still there so that seemed like a good reason as any to go back. They […]
We walked to the Eden Project. I wanted to go, but didn’t know much about it. It was INCREDIBLE. So beautiful, so much to look at. So much knowledge mixed with art. So many feels! What a wonderful place.
My friend Alice and I got drunk together about five months ago and planned a trip to Cornwall. Really it’s Professor Brian Cox’s fault. I’d found this drinking game, where you watch a Wonders of Whatever and drink according to the rules.
My first visit to New York City was for Halloween of 2011. These are a collection of photographs from our second day. Most of it was spent walking to Ground Zero, visiting the 9/11 museum and memorial and eating.
